I’M DREAMING OF A WHITE CHRISTMAS
Materials needed
Tube of choice, I used the gorgeous artwork of Maxine Gadd, her work requires a license.

Go to navigation/downloads/Masks. I used mask 41.
Snow Animation received through various yahoo groups, if this is yours email me here and I will either credit you or remove.
Fonts of choice, I used Saginaw & Rockwell Extra Bold.

Outside filters Eye Candy 4000 – Glass & Gradient Glow.

I made this in psp XI but can be done in any version.
This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of psp.
Open new image 600x600 white.
Add a new layer, flood fill with colour from your tube, I used #8aa2c4
Apply your mask from image, source luminance checked. Merge group.
Resize and add your snow trees as a new layer. Colourize to match your mask layer.
I used Hue 154 Saturation 78.
Resize and colourize your clouds paste as new layer and move so it sits to the left above the trees. Duplicate cloud layer, mirror, move above the original cloud layer

Resize and paste the white tree as a new layer, duplicate, selections, select all, float defloat.
Pick 2 contrasting colours from your tube and make a gradient. Set the gradient to radial, angle 0 repeats 10. With your brush tool set on small soft blend, size 80, hardness 50
step 5 density 100 thickness 100 rotation 0 opacity 100 blend mode normal.
Cover your duplicated tree with the gradient.
On your layer palette, change to colour legacy.
Deselect. Merge down.
Set foreground on any colour line width 3 background null. Preset shape Ellipse, and draw out a large circle, stretch it out so it frames the trees and the middle of the clouds. Do not convert to raster. Go to text and click on the edge of the circle. Add your text and move it to the center so it arcs over your trees. On your layer palette close off the ellipse then convert to raster.
Add gradient glow to your text using these settings,
Glow width 3, Soft corners 0.Overall opacity 100. Colour white.
Add your name Text as desired I added glass to mine but this is optional.
Add drop shadow, I used H&V 3 Opacity 34 Blur11.88 colour black.
(I used the same shadow on the curved text also)
Add you copyright info now.
Close off your tube text, and gradient tree, merge visible.
Now close the merged image, open the others and merge visible again.
You now have 2 layers. Resize 90% all layers checked.
Close yout text and tube layer and open and click on the bottom layer, go to edit copy and paste this as a new animation in AS. Duplicate so you have 10 frames. Go to edit and select all.
Open your snow animation, go to edit select all making sure you click on frame 1 drag over to your tree frames, place this just under the clouds on the left.
Click on your snow animation and undo last move. Repeat the above this time placing under the clouds on the right.
Back in psp, close off the tree layer and open the text and tube layer , edit, copy and paste as new animation in AS. Duplicate as before, select all and drag over and center on your tree frames.
